  • Please have a look at the Known Issues first. Also look at the other questions on this page. If you still need more information, please ask in #freemyipod-support on irc.freenode.net .
• Is there a bricking risk?
  • You can't completely brick an iPod Nano starting from the second generation. However, you can get the 2G into a state where fixing it will require soldering. This luckily can't happen on newer generations any more. Those can always be restored using iTunes.
  • If your iPod appears to be (semi)bricked for some reason, please ask for help on IRC before doing anything else. We have not had a real brick (that would have required the soldering trick) yet, all problems reported so far were fixable from software. Fixing problems sometimes just requires some in-depth knowledge :)
  • No warranty for anything!
